Alison Durbin graduated with a first class degree in Art from the University of Reading in 1991. She worked in Berkshire and Aberdeenshire running environmental community arts projects until 1998 when she worked for 2 years on a wildlife research project in central India. After that Alison was based in Sussex for 9 years, working for www.wildwoodbushcraft.com and doing freelance arts and design work. 2010 projects included living willow structures at two Sussex schools, a collaborative sculpture with all the pupils of Blackthorns Primary school, and an exhibition at Lindfield Arts Festival. Since September 2010 she has been based in Lochaber, Scotland, running forest school activities and art workshops. Alison has a Level 2 Certificate in Outdoor First Aid as well as Enhanced Disclosure Scotland/CRB England Certificates.
